Communities that are selected for participation in the Texas Main Street program are required to create a Program Area that defines where downtown revitalization work will be focused. In general, the program area is identified by two factors: critical mass in terms of older/historical structures as well as commerce. After study of both factors, the program area below was selected for the beginning stages of the Downtown Mesquite development/revitalization program.
By concentrating our efforts on a central area, we can offer our specialized services in Organization, Promotion, Economic Vitality and Design to businesses, properties and spaces that will benefit the most.
