Expect Authentic Charm In Downtown

Whether you’ve been Downtown Mesquite before or not, this part of town is ever-changing.

Gorgeous murals, refreshed storefronts, grand openings of new restaurants, and a brand-new event space and hangout spot are among the changes constantly happening in the historic heart of Mesquite.

Thanks to vendor spaces and a performance pavilion, Front Street Station is the new hot spot for the Downtown Mesquite Farmers Market and concerts. You can stop by anytime to check out the eight recently created seven-by-10-foot murals selected among 40 submissions by amateur and professional artists.

Keep your eyes open for the grand opening of Alejandro’s at Front Street Station, a chic Southwestern Grill-style restaurant that will occupy the historic N.A. Holley and Sons grocery building. There you will be able to enjoy outdoor dining, public art and the activities at Front Street Station.

Come Hungry

Start your day at Bear Cave Coffee (either at the farmers market or at their shop at 214 W. Main St.) with a coffee made with beans roasted right here in Texas. But it's not just freshly made coffee they offer; Bear Cave also sells a selection of collectibles, artisan-crafted tote bags and (most importantly), coffee beans, which they will grind fresh for you.

The Farmers Market Also hosts a variety of food vendors who offer a palate-pleasing variety of options. Whether you are craving a rib plate or a snow cone, the Farmers Market will have something for you.

If you'd like to have a seat and linger over a meal made locally, consider breakfast or lunch at one of our downtown restaurants that can be found a short distance from the market.
