Solar Rodeo - Solar Eclipse Weekend

The total solar eclipse will take place on April 8, 2024. Totality will begin in Mesquite at 1:40 pm and peak at 1:42 pm. In total, Mesquite will be in totality for 4 minutes and 8 seconds - longer than any other urban city in the DFW Metroplex. We invite you to experience this historic event with a three-day festival - The Solar Rodeo!

Saturday
9 am: Downtown Mesquite Farmers Market Season Kick-Off at
Front Street Station

10 am: Rodeo Parade through Downtown Mesquite

6-11 pm: Downtown Mesquite "Music & Moonlight" Block Party at Front Street Station
